Saturday 4th September - Taranaki Children's Book Festival
Just arrived back from the Taranaki Book Week. A fabulous week
with authors and illustrators. I'll be posting some photos on here
ASAP! So keep checking this blog. Fantastic meeting Tim Tipene,
Craig Smith, Ben Galbraith,Nikki Slade-Robinson, Katz Cowley,
Katerina Mataira, Jill Marshall, Michelle Osment & Gabrielle Lord.
I feel like I've made some wonderful new friends!!
We had a huge crowd at the Family Fun Day at The Hub in
Hawera! I met many of my White Cloud Station fans, and signed
plenty of books.

I loved meeting you all, and there are some keen authors and

It was quite an experience traveling on the 'Mobile Library Bus'
to: Mimi School - thanks John for a fun visit with your school!
Loved the electronic whiteboard! LOL
Huirangi School - Another great group, and I loved the writing
project on your wall.

Wednesday 1st September
Today I visited 3 rural schools.
Oakura School - A great bunch of girls! Thanks for the Emmy connection! Remember to join the club!
Coastal School - Some budding reporters in this bunch. Well prepared. Thank you for your preparation!
Egmont Village School - I met some lovely children in this group. So nice to get the boys reading my books too!
Had a fantastic time at these schools. I hope you've joined the White Cloud Station Club by now!!

Tuesday 31st August
We started with lunch at Puke Ariki in New Plymouth,
where we judged the writing competition finalists!
We then travelled to Statford for the opening of Book Week,
followed by drink and nibbles. A large crowd gathered in the
library and we had a wonderful first evening together!
The library was decorated beautifully!
Well done Stratford Library!

21 May 2010: From Equine Positive Learning
Have been very busy coaching riders in the top of the South
and working with equestrian coaches to achieve their Equestrian
Sport NZ Introductory and development coaching qualifications.
Schools in the Nelson area have students training 'on-line' for
equine industry unit standard qualifications and completing the
assessments for practical aspects with me.
Looking forward a trip to Cambridge St. Peters School for the
Equine ITO moderation meeting a good opportunity to catch up
with assessors from all over NZ. Jeanette.
